So I finally went to go see Terminator Genisys and I have to say it was amazing! I mean it wasn't the 1st or 2nd one that's for sure! But it was a close third. It managed to turn the series on it's head just as the second one had when it first came out. I'm not going to give any spoilers for the movie other than you need to watch it! I do love the fact that we now have three Sarah Conner's and two of them are from Game of Thrones. How cool is that? You have to respect how Arnold Schwarzenegger is willing to make fun of his age throughout the movie and how even at his age he can still kick ass. For once we follow Kyle instead of Sarah and it makes it feel brand new. There is even an after the credits scene that you have to watch! I've been a StarCraft fan since I was a kid. I remember when Brood War came out and I got to play it the day before it came out. Everyone at the boys and girls club stood around me as I started the game up. We were all so eager to see the story that I might have typed in "there is no cow level" a few times before saying screw it and typing in "Ophelia" and going right to the end. I remember being crushed by StarCraft Ghost getting cancelled and the excitement at StarCraft two finally being coming out. Although I am still waiting for part 3!!!!!!! Hurry up Blizzard I mean come on!!!! I've even read most of the books that have come out for it. StarCraft is one of my true loves. It is the game that I have played more than any other short of Super Mario Brothers 3. I always wished that they would turn it into a movie or even better a TV show. This hope was increased when they announced the Warcraft movie but it doesn't seem to be in the works. I thought I would never even come close to finding my favorite game brought to life, that is until I found this short film! It's so amazing! It captures the heart of StarCraft and has a sweet story about a boy and his mother to boot. How great is that? This is a must watch film! And look! I put it up for you guys to watch! Now that you guys watched and loved it! Because lets be honest, you loved it! Be sure to go and like it! and give them a subscribe; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIIKUpryl2Q
And while your at it, be sure to give me one too!! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA9Ws04n3fvC6PONW9VynCw So I just finished watching Jurassic World and I have to say, that movie was amazing! One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Chris Pratt delivers a great performance as he always does. I mean Guardians of the Galaxy anyone? What made this movie so brilliant is the way they toyed around with nostalgia. While watching it you felt like you were back in 1993 watching Jurassic Park. There was even a character wearing a Jurassic Park t-shirt! He had some lines that were pure genius. The man talks about how great the first "park" is and how nothing could live up to it. How the first one didn't need stunts or tricks to make it great. It took the fire out of people who would say the same thing about the first movie. I you make fun of yourself than no one else can use it against you. The line about all they needed was dinosaurs, not all this extra shit, or well I'm paraphrasing. But what they were getting out was how much of the first one was practical and how much effects were used in this one. Even though the first one changed effects for all the movies that came after it. If you haven't gone to see it, go see it! It is the best movie I've seen in a while and well worth a watch!
My friend called me up out of the blue and told me he had free tickets to the new Mark Ruffalo film, now I have heard nothing about this movie but being a fan of his, and a fan of free I said I would go. We printed out the tickets got in the car and went to the movie.
After a little mix up at the box office we went and took our seats. I had no idea what to expect, no idea even what it was about. That being said I was in the second the movie started. Ruffalo played a down on his luck Music producer who finds recently dumped Keira Knightley in a dive bar and hears her sing. He is taken away by her talent and together they help each other move on from the past. This movie spoke to me on so many levels. Of late I have been wondering if I'm cut out for film. If I can keep going down this path that I am on. It seems like every move I make takes me the wrong way and the magic it once had has been lost along the way. At its core that is what this movie is all about. Finding the magic in art again once it is lost. Finding the joy and wonderment in the world and in your own creativity once it is corrupted and warped into something perverse. It was the perfect movie, shown to me at the perfect time to have a huge impact on my life. I can't promise that it will have the same effect on you, but I honestly believe it is worth a watch. So go watch it! Now! So I was bored and looking around on Netflix when I find this movie, Dead before Dawn 3d. I took a chance and watched it, and I'm glad I did. It was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while. It was made in 2012, written by Tim Doiron and Directed by April Mullen. It follows the story of a college kid who is having trouble passing his writing class. His name is Casper and he is best friends with a girl dating the TA and one of the football players. He has a crush on another football players girlfriend. Casper's grandfather, Christopher Lloyd, who owns an occult store asks him to watch the store for him. He doesn't want to but agrees out of guilt. While watching the store everyone shows up and they play around with the vase that Casper's grandfather told them not to touch due to a curse on it. The kids break the vase and joke around about a curse, anyone who looks them in the eyes will be overcome with the desire to kill themselves. They will then come back as a zombie demon and try to turn other by giving them hickeys. If they seduce a zombie demon and make out with it then it becomes their slave. They have till Dawn to fix the curse. The movie was really good, it was well written and the actors weren't bad. It was a good low budget B movie. It took typical horror rules and played with them in order to make you laugh. It was campy but not to campy and come on, who doesn't love a little camp in their horror? A real highlight of the movie was when Christopher Lloyd said "great Scott". The call back to Back to the Future was just great. If you are looking for something to watch to kill some time then you need to check this out. |
